Terwolde is a multi-franchise dealership group based in the Netherlands and part of Emil Frey, one of the country’s largest automotive retail organisations. Since its foundation in 2009, the business has grown to eight locations offering sales and aftersales to its customers. Challenge
Terwolde has worked with Keyloop for several years after implementing Autoline DMS across the business.
From an aftersales perspective, Arnold identified an opportunity to improve efficiencies and accuracy within the parts department. Stock management was proving difficult for Terwolde, with ageing and obsolete parts becoming an issue.
Solution
After seeing the success of Parts Hub at a sister company under the Emil Frey umbrella, Arnold engaged Keyloop to implement the solution across its eight locations.
The support from the team at Keyloop throughout the implementation process helped ensure a smooth transition for the aftersales team at Terwolde. The training received as part of the introduction of Parts Hub and the user-friendly system ensured all users were confident and ready for the go-live date.
Impact
The most significant impact of Parts Hub has been the substantial reduction in stock at affiliated locations. The improvement in stock management is also helping improve administrative operations within the purchasing department. Not only does this reduce excess inventory and obsolete stock, but it also optimises resource allocation and reduces costs.
Arnold and the team are benefiting from increased efficiency and responsiveness in the supply chain. Parts are now available when and where they are needed without overburdening any single location thanks to streamlined distribution. The integration with Autoline DMS also means accurate data for all activity is captured in real-time.
One of the biggest benefits of introducing Parts Hub has been the improvement in stock management. We’re no longer having to deal with lots of unnecessary stock, which is helping reduce costs and having a positive impact on the efficiency of our parts operations.
