Keyloop’s women’s employee resource group, KeyShift, is back with a new committee at the helm. Led by Chair Jacqui Barker and Vice Chair Elaine Smart, the team will empower, connect and elevate women across Keyloop and the wider automotive industry.
What is an employee resource group?
An employee resource group (ERG) is an employee-led community built around a shared identity or purpose. It gives colleagues a space to connect, support one another and help shape a more inclusive workplace.
KeyShift does this for women at Keyloop. Its reach extends to the wider automotive industry network of OEMs, retailers and financial services partners.
“Having a dedicated ERG is an opportunity to raise the profile of women in all our markets, share what’s working in other markets and use KeyShift as a great opportunity to open doors, network and support industry peers.”
Jacqui Barker, KeyShift Chair
The KeyShift ambition
KeyShift exists to build a thriving, global community that empowers, connects and elevates women. Despite the fact that women are widely cited as influencing 85% of car buying decisions, women remain underrepresented in the industry. The aim is a more inclusive workforce, one that actively reflects the influence women have on the wider market.
Four pillars underpin the work:
- Empower
- Connect
- Advocate
- Inspire
The committee’s objectives are simple: support women, advocate for them and create opportunities that help them thrive at work and in daily life.
