Making a Positive Impact: Keyloop’s Recent CSR Initiatives in South Africa

I’m thrilled to update you on the success of our recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event at the Keyloop South Africa office. As the Learning and Development Manager, it brings me immense joy to share the positive outcomes of our initiatives aimed at making a meaningful impact in the Gauteng community.

Event overview

From the 15th to the 17th and the 20th of November 2023, we organised a series of events that proved to be a resounding success, all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team members who generously volunteered their time.

Attendance and participation

We were delighted to have 131 learners from Cosmo City Junior Primary School and 43 learners from Phronesis School join us for the event. The enthusiasm and engagement from both our team and the learners and teachers were truly heartening.

Achievements and impact

Through collective efforts, we shared basic computing knowledge with the children, gifted them with Keyloop-branded items, and donated refurbished laptops to both schools.

Feedback and positive responses

The overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, stakeholders, and community members speaks not only to the success of the event but also to the positive impression our small team has made in the community.

Acknowledgements and thanks

I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone involved, including Emile Roothman, Jenny Gauld, Neo Dlomo, Nthatisi Vilakazi, Karien Ronne, Matiisetso John, and Keni Lerefolo. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have been instrumental in making this event a success. It is an honour to work alongside such a talented and compassionate team.

Thank you for supporting and collaborating in these initiatives. You all have been an integral part of ensuring the success of these initiatives. We have embraced the spirit of Ubuntu, working together, supporting one another, and creating a brighter future for the children and community.

Reflection on our achievements

Thanks to the collective efforts of our team, Keyloop South Africa has achieved its goals and made a meaningful impact in the local Gauteng community. The success of these Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives is a testament to the commitment and dedication of everyone involved.

The support of our small but mighty volunteer pool played a crucial role in giving these children an opportunity to use a laptop. A total of 21 refurbished laptops were distributed between the two schools. It’s partnerships like ours that make a real difference in the lives of those we aim to serve.

Looking ahead

We have another CSR initiative planned for December 12, 2023, at Olivers Village, Daveyton. Keyloop South Africa will be hosting a career day for 150 high school students from the local community.

I believe that corporate social responsibility is not just a duty but an opportunity to create a better world. Keyloop’s commitment to this belief has had a direct impact on the success of our initiative, and I am truly grateful. Together, we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others, reinforcing our commitment to corporate social responsibility.
